Chithara Police Station is one of the Border Police Stations of Kollam Rural Police District and shares its border with Thiruvananthapuram District. Chithara Police Station is located on the east side of the Parippally-Madathara PWD Road at Valavupacha junction in the 4th Ward of the Chithara Grama Panchayat. This Police Station consists of Chithara Village, Mankodu Vilage and Some parts of Kummil Village in Kottarakkara Taluk of Kollam District.
