Thottapally Coastal Police Station

Coastal Security scheme was formulated in pursuance to the recommendations of the Group of Ministers on reforming the National security System for setting up of Marine Police Force in the Coastal States and Union Territories. The scheme was formulated after a series of consultations with the coastal States and Union Territories. The Thottappally Coastal Police Station started functioning from 25th May 2012. The principle objectives of the Coastal Security Scheme is to address the critical gap in the Policing our Coast and close Coastal waters by providing the State Police Forces the capability to Police Close Coastal waters and the coast line i.e the Sea boarder of the country.
