Three years ago, a skull and clothes were found in Urathur Paramba in Irikkur Police station limit.  But the body remains to be unknown, who owns the remains? Irikkur Police registered a case and started the investigation and found the culprit based on the conclusions drawn from the subsequent scientific tests and circumstantial evidence.  Subsequently, the police identified the body as that of Syed Alavi, a native of Assam, and that the killer was Sadiq Ali, who had been living with him for years.  Sadiq Ali, who was absconding after the crime, was found and the motive of murder committed for the theft were revealed.  SI Nitheesh T M, SI Suresh Kumar K, ASI Prashanth, SCPO Sivaprasad and Sujith were members of the excellent investigation team led by Irikkur Inspector Abdul Muneer T.
