Palakkad Kasaba Police Station

Kasaba police station was opened on 17.04.1945 at Palakkad Tippu Sulthan Fort for collecting tax for the British Government from the public . The first Inspector of Police was Sri. C.C. Vargheese. After Independence Sri. Venkitachalam was in charge as Sub Inspector on 14.11.1947. it was on 25.01.1973 that the station shifted to the temporary building situated at Pudussery , 5 KMs to the east of Palakkad Town .

Kasaba Police Station is functioning in the building situated in South side of NH 47 Road and 100 meters to the east of Sree Kurumba Bhagavathy Temple Pudussery, in Pudussery Panchayath Palakkad Taluk, Palakkad District. The Station building is within 65 Cent Government owned Compound, 100 meters left is the Pudussery Town, nearest Railway Station is Kanjikode and Airport is Coimbatore. On the rear side of the Police Station is Palakkad Rural Circle office and Police Family Quarters. Police Crane Service unit and Highway patrol unit in the supervision of the Rural Inspector of Police are also functioning in the Police Station Premises
