The arrested have been identified as Kailas (22), a native of Thrikkovilvattom village, Cheriyela, Madathivila house and Sunil's son Abhishek (20). On 27.05.2022 morning, following a complaint lodged by the owner of the vehicle following the theft of a motorcycle parked in front of Kollam railway station, their accomplice Chudalamuthu, who was found under suspicious circumstances during surveillance in and around the railway station, was questioned. three accused, including two scrap shop owners, were arrested for demolishing the vehicle and selling it. Kollam East SHO R Ratheesh led the team under the supervision of Kollam ACP GD Vijayakumar. The accused was arrested by a team comprising SIs Y Ashraf, James and CPO Sunil. They were produced in court and remanded.
