One person arrested in a case involving the resale of a car after renting it

A man has been arrested for selling a car that he had originally rented under the pretext of using it for taxi services. Kunnathunad police arrested Shahin Safeer (30), a resident of Mullumpurath House on Netaji Road, Aluva. He had rented the car—owned by an Ernakulam native—on a daily basis, claiming he intended to use it as an online taxi. Subsequently, he sold the vehicle for ₹3.5 lakh after introducing a resident of Pattimattom as a broker.
