A major drug haul was made in Mulanthuruthy

A major drug haul was made in Mulanthuruthy, where two men were arrested with 20 kilograms of ganja. The accused, Noor Islam (19) and Rabuil Sheikh (22), both natives of Bamnabad in West Bengal, were taken into custody by the Mulanthuruthy Police.

The seizure took place near Cherukara during checking operations conducted by Statutory Surveillance Team-5 in connection with the elections. Two large bags were found hidden under suspicious circumstances. A border checking duty officer informed the Mulanthuruthy Police Station about the discovery, following which police arrived at the scene and confirmed that the bags contained ganja.

Police then launched a detailed investigation to identify those who had kept the bags there. After receiving confidential information that the suspects were in the vicinity, officers began a search operation.

Ward member Adarsh Sajikumar, along with local residents Pramod, Jayaraj, P.K. Babu, Siju, and Gopalakrishnan, assisted the police in tracing the accused. The suspects were eventually located and arrested during the investigation
