The accused have been arrested for brutally assaulting a youth

 The police have arrested two accused for attacking a youth with a deadly weapon when he stopped him from driving an autorickshaw dangerously. Shamnad (20), son of Shajahan of Paravur Kurumandal Velikkedu Thodi and Rony (20), son of Vincent of Jiss Bhavan in Kalakode, Paravur, were arrested by the Paravur police. On the night of 10.07.2022, Shamnad and Rony were seen driving the autorickshaw dangerously at a high speed on the road near Paravila ground in Kalakode and was questioned by Ansil, son of saleem, a neighbour of Paravila Thekkathil Salim. Due to this enmity, the accused went back and came back with a letter used to cut wood kept in the house and attacked the youth.  Ansil, who suffered serious injuries to his left hand in the attack, is undergoing treatment. The Paravur police registered a case on the complaint of Anzil and nabbed the absconding accused. Both the accused have served jail terms in various cases in the past as well. Ronnie is an accused in the Ganjav case and Shamnad is an accused in the assault case. A team led by Chathannoor ACP Gopakumar B and comprising Paravur sub-inspector Nithin Nalan, ASI Rameshan and SCPOs Premlal and Santhosh nabbed the accused.
