JURISDICTION

Sasthamcotta is the Headquarter Police Station and under the administrative jurisdiction of Sasthamcotta Sub-division. It is situated near the bank of Sasthamcotta Freshwater Lake. Sasthamcotta fresh water lake is the largest fresh water lake in Kerala. This station is located about 1 Km from the Sasthamcotta bus stand and about 4 Km from the Sasthamcotta Railway Station. It is located near the Sasthamcotta Sree Dharma Sastha Temple and Devaswam Board College. It is included four villages – Sasthamcotta, Mynagappally, West Kallada, and Kunnathur. The Karkkidaka Vavu Beli at Thiruvatta Temple Near Kallada River and the famous Kathakali Fest at Mannoorakavu Temple is also in this PS limit.
