udumbanchola Police Station

Udumbanchola Police Station was opened by Sri.Pinarayi Vijayan Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala on 17.02.2019 as per government order No. 216/2017/Home Dated 26.10.2017. Udumbanchola Police Station was earlier functioned as a police station with Santhanpara as it’s out post. Later, on 1975, Udumbanchola Police station was degraded to outpost and Santhanpara out post was up graded to a Police station with Udumbanchola as its outpost.

The Udumbanchola Police Station is under the Kattappana Sub-Division. The station is situated 300 Meter away from Udumbanchola junction towards Chemmannar Gap road. Udumbanchola Taluk is the biggest taluk in Kerala state and is the location of Mathikettan Shola National Park.

        Newly constructed building for Police Station at Udumbanchola had been inaugurated by Honorable Chief minister of Kerala Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan through video conference on 23-07-2020. The Police Station started functioning in the new building as per the G.O.(P) No. 45/2020/Home dated 05-09-2020.
