As per the notification of home (E) department G.O.(Rt)No.1805/2012/Home Dated 18.06.2012 Ayiroor Police Station opened with jurisdiction of Edava, Chemmaruthy and Ayiroor Villages now Varkala Police Station have the Varkala Village and Cherunniyoor Village only.
