Walayar Police Station

Walayar is a small developing town, located in the Northern Travancore region of Kerala, India. It is situated near the border between the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.Due to the massive increase of traffic incidents and movement of vehicles across the border, on 09.10.1983, in a small room under the sponsor of Malabar Cements Ltd having building No XI/1110 in the east village Pudussery Panchayath,the station has been inaugurated by the then Home Minister of Kerala, Sri Vayalar Ravi and started functioning vide G.O(RT) No 3152/83/ Home Dtaed 07.10.1983. Later on 05.03.1983, station shifted to the new building having land area of 10 cents in Survey No 10,11 & Re Survey No 17 among block 32 at Vattapara having building no 12/468 in the east village of Pudussery Panchayath, inaugurated by the then Electricy and Minister for Rural Development Sri Sivadasa Menon. The boundaries of station limit has been fixed as Kerala Tamilnadu Border towards the east and ITI Ltd, Kanjikode towards the west, Ahaliya Hospital Premises, P.K Challa towards the south and western ghats mountain regions towards the north.
