COTPA case- Accused arrested by Aluva East Police and seized 2000 packets of hans on 02.07.17

Aluva East Police have arrested an Aluva native for selling banned tobacco products, including Hans. The accused has been identified as Ayub (40),S/o Kunjumuhammed, Chithakoodathu House, Uliyannoor. The investigation team led by Aluva East Police Station House Officer Faizal seized around 2,000 packets of Hans and other tobacco products from a shed owned by the accused near Government L P School. The investigation was carried based on a tip-off. The accused was arrested during patrolling in areas under the jurisdiction of Aluva East Police.
