East Kallda Police Station

East Kallada Police Station is situated in Kunnathoor Taluk at Kollam district. This Police Station is functioning in the newly constructed building comprised 21 cents of land at East Kallada Village near Chothiram Junction, Chittumala.  This Police station is under the administrative jurisdiction of the Sasthamcotta  Sub Division. The station covers the areas of East Kallada and Monroe Island villages.

The area of the Police station is covered by Ahstamudi Lake and the Kallada River.  Famous tourist place Manroe Island is situated in the station limit. Kallada Boat Race is one of the most famous festivals of East Kallada. The boat race is conducted by the District Tourism Promotion Council every year.

Chittumala Block Panchayat Office, Agricultural Development Office, Village Extension Office, PH Centre, Govt. Ayurveda Hospital, Homeo Hospital, Telephone Exchange are the main government offices in the station limit. The main earnings of the people in the area are fishing and cashew works.

This police station shares its border with Thekkumbhagam and  Anchalammoodu Police Stations of  Kollam City Police District.
