Kalpetta Police Station

Kalpetta Police station was opened on 01.09.1979 as per GO (Rt) 1624/79 Home dated 17.08.1979 with jurisdiction over the local areas of the Kalpetta village, Vengapally village, Muttil village of South Wayanad Taluk . The notification came into force with effect from 01.09.1979. Kalpetta Police station is having the jurisdiction over Kalpetta, Vengapally and Muttil Vilage in the Vythiri Taluk.Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Jains live within the Police station limit. There are important Temples, Mosques, Churches, Jain temples etc. Madiyoorkuni Vishnu Temple, Mariyamman kovil, Jain temple Puliyarmala and Maithani Mosque are important religious center of attraction. NH 212 passes through the Police station limit. District head quarters falls within this police station limit. One Govt. College also functioning in the Station limit
