Kanjirappally Police Station

The police station and circle office are now functioning in an old government building since 11-12-97 owned by the revenue authorities. A person Viz. KuruvilaThommy, Maliakkel house, Kanjirappally was the owner of the land and school. He surrendered the same to government during Malayalam Era 1094 for functioning a school. Accordingly the school functioned till 1922 and closed due to shortage of students. The legal heirs of Late Sri.KuruvilaThommy filed a civil case vide OS 85/01 before Munsif court Kanjirappally claiming the release of land and building to them by revenue authorities on 19-07-05. In the above court has passed a judgement in favour of the owner of the police station building. On the basis of the direction from Home department by an order No. 10126/R1/05 home dt. 26-09-05 has deputed Govt. Advocate for filing appeal and the case under the consideration ofHigh Court. Now the station is functioning in the building of old Taluk office vide GO(RT) 2497/2010 Home dtd 02/08/2010.
