Manjeri PS FIR No. 599/2020 (Hacking / Cyber Theft Case)

Kerala police succeeded in arresting three accused persons who were the master brains behind the hi-tech bank account hacking case registered at Manjeri Police station as FIR No. 599/2020 U/S 379, 465, 468, 471, 120(B) r/w 34, 201 IPC & 43, 66(C), 66(D), 70(3), 72 of IT (Amendment) Act-2008. All the accused are from the state of Maharashtra. The arrests were made based on the complaint lodged by the Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge, Manjeri.

The brief of the case is that, the culprits hacked internet banking user credential of the complainant and hacked / stolen amount from the complainant’s SBI bank account by using internet banking user credential etc., fact.

The culprits were identified and arrested from Maharashtra through a scientific and cyber-based investigation

3) Omkar Sanjay Chatarwad- 19, S/O Sanjay Manohar Chatarwad, H.No. 4, Behind Hanuman Mandir, Taroda Road, Kalyan Nagar, Nanded, Maharashtra- 431605


Investigation Team of the Case

The accused persons were arrested by a Special Investigation Team headed by Manjeri Inspector C. Alavi. The team included N.M. Abdulla Babu (Cyber Forensic Team Member), M. Sahabin, K. Salman, M.P. Lijin, K.V. Junais Babu of Malappuram District Police.
