Nemmara Police Station

Though no records is available regarding the origin of this station it is probable that the station was opend when the Police Department was organized in the Cochin state in 1056 M.E( AD 1881) Notification and Orders by Govt GO.Rt.814 dated 5th May 1959 the Govt of Kerala Police building 124/ and 125/3 in Nemmara Village Chittur Taluk to be a police station with effect from 15.03.1959 known as Nemmara police Station.

During the year 1985 Pothundy village bifurcated as Pothundy and Nelliyampathy village. Nelliyampathy Village now under the jurisdiction of Padagiri PS. As per the G.o (Rt) No 816/2010 Home dated 6.03.10 (sro No 261/10) Nemmara Police Station and circle office shifted into New building in Northern side in Nemmara Pothundy Public road functioning from 25.02.2005.
