Vandanmedu Police Station was opened a an out post attached to Vandiperiyar Police Station and it was upgraded as a charging station G.O.(Rt) No. 273/Home Dated 22.02.1961 from 01.03.1961This station is situated in near Tamilnadu boarder. Vandanmedu is one of the world's largest auction centers for Cardamom.Chellarcovil view point and Aruvikuzhy water falls are some tourist spots within the station limit. The station is situated near Kumily-Munnar state highway.
