AREEKODE Police Station

Areekode Police Station came to existence on 1899.  GO (RT) 2844/89/ home dated 01.06.1989. The new station building was inaugurated on 28.06.1989  in Areekode Panchayath, situated in adjacent of old station building  Areekode, Kuniyil, Kavanoor, Thottumukam, Odakkayam, Thrippanchi, Valillapuzha are the  most important places .KATS Areeekode Kakakdampoil, Thrikkalayur  Sivakshethram  are important Tourism spots/ historical importance in Areekode police station under the  PS Limit. Areacode Panchayath, Kavanur Panchayath, Kizhuparamba Panchayath, Urangattiri Panchayath, Kuzhimanna Panchayath, Cheekode Panchayath, Muthuvallur Panchayath, Pulpatta Panchayath are under the jurisdiction of Areekode Police station. Kondotty, Manjeri, Edavanna Vazhakkad, Mukkam, Nilambur and Thiruvambadi Police stations are Border Police stations of Areekode PS.  Areekode is also known as Mecca of Kerala Football or Mecca of Malappuram Football. Areekode became a synonym for a Football town. Great many footballers have been contributed to the country from this little town of literacy. It is 17 km from Manjeri and 36 km from Calicut town
