Cherpu Police Station

The Cherpu Police station is situated in Cherpu Town in Cherpu Grama Panchayath, Chevur Village, Thrissur Taluk in Survey No.261/14 with total area of 1 Acre 21 ¼ Cent land. Cherpu Police Station formed in 01.07.1098 M.E as an outpost at Urakam. It was upgraded into a Police Station as per vide G.O (Rt) No.1147/Home/ Dtd.12.07.1961. Now it is functioning in a new government building from 08.03.2006 as per new notification G.O (Rt)No.2000/2008/ Home Dtd. 20.06.2008.
