Brief of the case is that on 21.01.2017 at 10.45 hrs, at Keezhur Amsom, near at Iritty old bridge in a well of one Mr. Mamu Haji, found a decomposed dead body of middle aged woman and a case in Crime No.77/17 U/s 174 CrPC of Iritty Police Station is registered as per the complaint of Binoy Thomas, S/o Thomas, Mandapaparamba, Ulikkal. By the earnest efforts of the investigating team, it is revealed that the deceased woman, Shobha, Tumkur is wandering in Panamaram, Kalpetta and Mananthavadi and finally reached at Iritty town with her two children and her relative Manjunath and she earned her livings by begging. They lived as husband and wife. She denied the relation of Manjunath with his wife in Tumkur. She also obstructed him to go his native place, due to this enmity, he decided to kill her. On 14.01.2017 at 02.00 hrs Manjunath caught tightly her throat with the intention to kill. After she became unconscious, he put her into the nearby well and killed her etc. facts. The investigating team had observed the where about of the victim and accused and analyzed accused Manjunath’s phone number for a long period regularly and arrested the accused Manjunath. While on the custodial interrogation of accused, Mr. Manjunath. P.R, S/o Rangappa, Thimmarajanahalli, Tumkur District Karnataka State in Cr. No. 77/17 U/s 174 CrPC altered to 302 IPC, on 14.02.2017, he confessed that on 21.12.2015, his relative Shoba who is deceased in Cr. No 77/17 telephoned him to reach near at the house. With intention to kill Shoba’s husband, Raju, both of them have taken Raju in an auto rickshaw to the Forest area of Unchinaluhalla and killed him by tighten his neck with rope and after that set fire the dead body by using diesel and logs in the forest area and Manjunath abandoned the two children Arya and Amrutha in the railway compartment of one Mumbai train at the Magestic Railway Station at Bangalore on 17-01-2017 at 16.00 hrs. The unending efforts of the investigating team, come into the light of two cruel homicide of the accused, Manjunath. He killed Raju on 21.12.2015 and lived very freely in many parts of Kerala and Karnataka. But he is trapped very days after the murder of Shoba on 14-01-2017 at 02.00 hrs.
