Kannur Town Police Station

As per available records Station was in existence on 1927. The new building was inaugurated on 28.09.1988. vide GO (Rt) No. 4733/88/Home/Dt. 19.09.1988. On 24.01.1994 Kannur Town Police Station S H O post was converted into Circle Inspector of Police. On 01.08.2002 post was again converted as Sub Inspector. The Govt have accorded sanction for appointing Circle Inspector of Police as Station House Officer as per GO(Ms) No.211/2017 dated 21.10.2017 and they shall be called as Inspector SHO
