Puthoor Police Station

Puthoor Police Station is located in the first ward of Neduvathur Grama Panchayat. Earlier, Puthoor was only an outpost of the Kottarakkara Police Station. As per the Vide G.O Rt No 1311/2010 Home Dated 09.04.2019 Puthoor Police Station was opened. The jurisdiction of Puthoor PS was created by dividing Kottarakkara and Ezhukon police stations. The Puthoor police station was started in a building on 25 cents of land handed over from Neduvathur Grama Panchayat.

On 19.04.2010 Kerala Home Minister Shri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan inaugurated the Puthur police station. Construction of the new station building started on 28.01.2018 and construction work on the building was completed in December 2019. The new building of Puthoor Police Station was inaugurated on 04.01.2020 by the Chief Minister of Kerala Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan through video conference.

The Kallada River passes through this station limit. Puthoor is famous for the cashew industry; hence the large number of cashew factories operating within the station limits. There are many brick factories in Puthur and most of the workers in these factories are from other states. Ullirappil Kavu, Kaniyampoyka Temple, Mylankulam Para, and Vetturuthil Sri Nagaraja Devi Temple are the major attractions within the station limits.
