Vadanappilly Police Station

Vatanappally Police Station was opened on 30.10.1983 as per GO (RT) No. 3342/83/Home dated 27.10.1983. Vadanappally Police station has been being worked in a rented building survey No.322/9/, and building No.415 in the ward VII of Vadanappally Gramapanjayath near Vadanappally Almavu Junction in Vadanappally Village, Chavakkad Taluk Thrissur District. The jurisdiction of Vadanappally Police Station covers within its boundary of the Vadanappally Grama Panjayath,Engandiyoor and in half of Thalikulam Grama Panjayath. Valappad PS, Anthikkad PS, Chavakkad PS and Pavaratty PS are the nearest Police Stations . Long stretch of NH 66 is passes through the area of Vatanappilly Police Station. The area especially coastal belt is a very vulnerable and volatile from the Police point of view as politically and communally. Political parties like CPI (M) and BIP, communal outfits like RSS, SDPI, PFI are very active and very deep rooted functioning in this Station limits. At present, this Police Station comes under in Irinjalakuda Sub Division. The area of Vatanappilly Police Station is 37.96 Sq. KMs which lies between Arabian Sea to the West & Canoly Canal to the east and population is 71,974 as per 2011 census. This is a 'Janamaithri' Police Station
