The property was handed over to the police department from Namboothiri. The KATTIPPARUTHY POLICE STATION is renamed as VALANCHERY POLICE STATION on 18.10.1988 vide GO (Rt) 5322/88 Home Dated. 18 th October 1988 in the Building No. V P II-667-A of Valanchery Panchayath (Now Valanchery Muncippality) in Kattipparuthy Village. After the formation of Malappuram District in 16.06.1969 the Valanchery Police Station known as Kattipparuthy Police Station having jurisdiction of 11 Amsoms that 1) Kattipparuthy, 2) Thozhuvanoor, 3) Edayur, 4) Vadakkumpuram, 5) Valiyakunnu, 6) Irimbiliyam, 7) Athavanad, 8) Naduvattom, 9) Kuttippuram, 10) Paradur ( now in Palakkad District), and 11) Cherukudangad( now in Palakkad District), in the Circle of Tirur and Kozhikkode district. After the formation of Malappuram district in 1969, Two Amsoms Parudur and Cherukudangad (now in Palakkad district) is attached to Palakkad district thereafter Kattipparuthy Police Station has gone under Ponnani Circle, in this time the Kattipparuthy Police Station is functioning in a Private building near the Kattipparuthy Village Office at Valanchery Junction, that time the Station having 9 Amsoms in 6 Villages, Since the opening of Kuttippuram Out Post on 09.05.1973 the Village of Naduvattom and Kuttippuram were brought within the jurisdiction of the OP of Kuttippuram then the Valanchery Police Station commenced functioning in 18.10.1988 having 4 Villages and 7 Amsoms, The Police Station is situated in survey No RS. No. 45/11 of Kattiparuthy Village comprising of 25 cents. The property was handed over to the police department from Namboothiri.
