Valapattanam Polce station have wide coastal area at west side.The famous tourist place Meenkunnu beech,Folklore Academy, Chirakkal Kovilakam and Chirakkal Chira are situted in Valapattanam PS Limit.Valapattanam Police Station Limit has large Industrial area. Western India Plywood factory and Baliapattanam Tile factory are situtaedin this limit.In the Station limit there are three railway staions, ie Valapattanam, Chirakkal, Pappinisseri, Two telephone Exchage ie, Pappinisseri and Valapattanam, One Port Office Situated at Azheekkal, and 5 Village Offices, 6 Health Centers and one Visha chikilsa Kendram at pappinisseri, and 6 Higher Secondary Schools,and 13 govt schools and 38 other private schools.
