Athirappilly Police Station

Vettilappara Police Station opened GO No.(RT) 1623//Home dated 28.05.1987 in a private rented building at Vettilappara, house no. 1/208/A. Foundation stone laid of the new Police Station building by Sri. B. D. Devassy MLA Chalakudy constituency on 12.02.2009 and new building inauguration by Sri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Hon’ble Home minister of Kerala on 27.06.2010. Government has notified the function of Police Station vide Kerala Gazatte No. KL TV(N)12/2009-2011 and GO(RT) No. 1461/2009/Home dated 23.05.2009. As per the last census of the year 2011, total population of the jurisdictional are of Athirappilly PS was 8808 Athirappilly is a small Village in Thrissur district of Kerala state in South India. It is located on 50 km south of Thrissur town and about 25 km East of Chalakudy. Administratively, Athirappilly comes under Athirappilly Panchayat and Chalakudy Taluk.
