Bekal Coastal Police Station

Coastal Police, as the name suggests, will be on the coast.  Government of India, as a part of scheme, has sanctioned 8 Coastal Police Stations in the state.  Vide GO (MS) No.23/10 dated 23.01.10 sanction has been accorded for opening a new Coastal Police Station at Thalangara, Kasaragod for strengthening the Coastal securities in Kasaragod district. 

Coastal Police Station, Bekal at Thalagnara, Kasaragod was inaugurated on 25.11.2010 by Sri.Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, the then Hon’ble Home Minister of Kerala and the station was notified as Coastal Police Station Bekal as per GO (Rt) 366/2011/Home TVPM dated 04.02.11.  The three storied station building faces east and is situated in Thalangara village, Kasaragod Taluk bearing building No.KMC-XXI/10  After that two new coastal police stations are established in Kasaragod police district which are Shiriya Coastal PS and Trikkaripur Coastal PS and the jurisdiction of Bekal Coastal PS is limited from North Mogral Sea Mouth to Chithati Sea mouth South.
