PAZHAYANNUR Police Station
At the centre of Pazhayannur is the Bhagavathy Temple that is presided by the main deity Pazhayannur Bhagavathy. It is believed that this deity was the family deity, paradevatha of the erstwhile Royal family of Cochin and was brought by the Maharaja of Cochin himself. Adjoining to the Bhagavathy temple is the Siva temple. Pazhayannur is considered a place of historical importance, and is seen in the map of "Nannangadis" of Kerala. Nannangadis are the tombs of people who lived in the medieval times and are usually depicted in the shape of large pots. This Police Station was opened on the Year 1912 (1088 ME) and New Building functioned from 01.08.1989. A Police Out has been Post functioning at Thiruvilwamala. 219 Cent land in Survey 899/05,899/09,899/10, 899/15,901/02,900/04,902/04 of Pazhayannur Village, 28.75 Cent land in Survey 865/01/, 865/11 of Kaniarkode Village & 7 cents in Survey 493/03 of Pambady Village.
