Nileshwar Police Station

Nileshwar Police Station was opened on 01/11/1955 as per GO (MS) No.2740/Home dtd 05.10.1955 of Madras Government. The station was shifted to the new building on 07.08.1975 as per GO (Rt) No.1565/73 Home (E).

           Nileshwar  Police station sharing its border with Ambalathara PS and Chittarikkal PS in East, Chandera PS in South, Hosdurg PS in North. NH 66 is passing through Nileshwar station limit and the station is also situating near to NH 66.  This city also famous for the Hill produces marketing. Kachery Puzha, and Thejaswini Puzha, these rivers also flows through the Nileshwar PS limits.  The station area includes Nileshwar, Perole, Kinanoor, Karinthalam, Madikai Village areas. Among these Kottappuram, Thaikadappuram, Pallikkara, Karinthalam areas are politically sensitive. Kottapuram is both politically and communally sensitive. At present there is no major L/O issue within the limits of Nileshwar Police Station.
