Vidyanagar Police Station

Vidyanagar Police Station formed as per GO (Rt) No.1451/2010/Home dtd 24.04.10 and was inaugurated on 31.07.2010 by the then Hon'ble Minister of Kerala Sri.kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Building No. KMC W-VII/457 as building is a rented one. A new building has been constructed at Civil Station Compound in Chengala Panchayath as per GO (Rt) No.3148/2012/Home dtd 22.10.12 with door No. XVIII/718C and inaugerated by the Hon'ble Home Minister of Kerala Sri.Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan on 12.10.12. The Statio comprisinf 7 villages such as Madhur, Patla, Muttathody, Pady, Chengala, thekkil, Perumbala, and part of Kasaba village. The total area of the Police station is 7218 Hector and population is 1,16,068 as per the 2011 Census
